I subscribed to a mod but it's not showing up in-game.
Fully restart PlateUp! Workshop content is only picked up on launch, not mid-session. If it's still missing after a restart, check the mod's Workshop page for any reported issues with the current game version.
Steam asked to install other mods alongside the one I subscribed to.
That's a dependency, some mods rely on other mods (like a shared library) to work. Accept these prompts; declining usually breaks the mod you actually wanted. See Mod Dependencies for more.
A mod's download seems stuck or isn't progressing.
Restart Steam and try again. If it's still stuck, check Steam's Workshop status. Workshop-wide outages happen occasionally and aren't something to troubleshoot on your end.
How do I disable a mod?
Unsubscribe from it on its Workshop page, or manage active mods from the game's properties menu.
How do I update a mod?
Nothing to do manually, subscribed mods update automatically the next time you launch the game.
I unsubscribed but the game still seems to be using the mod.
Fully restart PlateUp! after unsubscribing. Changes to your mod list only take effect on launch.
The game is acting strangely after adding a mod.
Disable your mods one at a time to isolate which one is causing it, rather than guessing. Most odd behavior traces back to a single mod, or two mods that don't play well together.
A mod stopped working after a game update.
This usually means the mod hasn't been updated for the new game version yet. Check the mod's Workshop pagem the author or other players will often flag this in the comments. There's not much to troubleshoot on your end beyond waiting for an update.
I want to report a bug, what should I include?
List every mod you have active, the game version, and exact steps to reproduce the issue. Conflicts between mods are the most common cause of unexpected behavior, so this context matters more than almost anything else you can provide.
Mods built for older or third-party modloaders (such as BepInEx) aren't supported. PlateUp! has native mod support built in, and all current mods are built around that, anything requiring a separate modloader predates this and won't be something we can help troubleshoot.
If you're not sure whether a mod you're looking at is native or legacy, check its Workshop page, native mods install with a single Subscribe click and need nothing else. If a mod's instructions mention downloading and extracting a loader separately, it's legacy. If the mod you've found isn't on the Workshop, it's likely also legacy.
Ask in the Unofficial Modding Discord or the Official PlateUp! Discord. Include your mod list, game version, and what you've already tried. It's the fastest way to get a real answer, especially for conflicts that are specific to your particular combination of mods.
